When I say that I could sing before I could talk, I’m not exaggerating. Sesame Street was the first song I ever sang out loud. There’s a dusty VHS tape in a box somewhere to prove it. Now I write songs, not to ask giant birds for directions, but to tell stories and express the emotions that connect us all.
 
The ukulele came into my life when I wanted a companion. Now I’m like a one-woman band, but in a classier, easier to carry around way.
