TONIC SITE SHOP TEMPLATE | WEBSITE DESIGN | CREATIVE ENTREPRENEUR
I started my blog back in 2017 because I needed a place on the internet to call my own. A place where I could let my multi-passionate freak flag soar high, and where I wouldn’t be forced to choose between my various interests. In those days, I was focused on getting in the habit of putting myself on the internet consistently, and I was perfectly happy doing that with a free WordPress template.
Then, one day I was listening to a podcast episode where Jen, one of the founders of TONIC Site Shop was being interviewed about her website design wizardry. As I listened, I opened my laptop and popped over to see for myself. The rest is history (well, kinda… it’s still happening but you know what I mean).

I fell head over heels for the Smokescreen template. As I drooled over the flow of the website demo, I began to dream bigger. Way bigger.
What would it feel like for this cute lil’ blog to turn into a full-fledged BUSINESS?! What if the blog was just the beginning? What if I could have a website like this one day?
I began saving up for Smokescreen and visiting the demo site every few days to keep myself on track. I also started coaching multi-passionates who wanted to start their own blogs, find their own voices, and finally stop being told to “choose one thing and sit down somewhere.”
Then, one glorious Black Friday morning, a TONIC template sale email hit my inbox and (after literally screaming out loud as if I had won the lottery) I bought the Smokescreen website template and never looked back.
TONIC and Showit combined turned me into a website designer. And that’s something I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do without templates that give me such a powerful starting point.
That was a few years ago now, but because I love TONIC and attribute the birth of my biz largely in part to my desire for a “real” website, I drop in to check out what’s new from time to time.
Enter: The Paper Plane Sales Page Template
By this point, dreaming big has become my default and being a proud multi-passionate who doesn’t give a crap about niching has become my niche.
Because I see the world through a multi-passionate lens, I don’t spend a lot of time trying to do things “one way.” Instead, I bend the rules and often ask: “what else?” That’s exactly what happened as I was checking out the Paper Plane template.
Sure, I had a sales page to build, but as I looked at Paper Plane I knew it could be more than that. I now lovingly call it: The Template that Keeps on Giving.
Here are all the ways I used my Paper Plane Template. I hope this inspires you to see how far making a one-time investment in a TONIC Site Shop can pay off again and again and again (especially when you use code JOISENTME for a 15% discount!).
(Pro tip: Read all the way until the end for some tips for customizing your template!)

Tonic Template as Workshop Registration Page
I tend to be a little bit extra with my landing pages, even if it’s for a free event. I want my potential students/clients to know that they’re entering into a thoughtfully crafted experience! The Paper Plane Template was perfect for creating a polished look in record time.

Tonic Template as an Actual Sales Page
Alright, I have a confession. Before I came back to Tonic for another template, I tried my luck with building out a sales page in Kajabi. It has the feature so why not use it right? Because it took me TWO WEEKS and I wanted to pull my hair out. That’s why.
With the Paper Plane Template, my sales page was done in 2 days and I did it all myself. Yes, please!
TONIC template as a Landing Page upgrade
I also decided to rebuild my eBook landing page using Paper Plane. How could I resist getting even more use out of this versatile template?
Check out the before and after below! Major glow up.
That’s one template in 4 ways, and there’s a lot more where that came from.
If you’re thinking, this is great but I don’t even know how to customize the dang thing let alone turn it into various creations online, Joi!!! Fear not, I’ve got a couple of quick tips for ya as a reward for reading this far!
- You don’t need to use every canvas.
Sometimes we stop ourselves from buying a template because we think: “I don’t have that many testimonials,” or “I don’t want to write that much damn copy!”
But here’s the cool part- you can easily pick and choose which canvases (sections of the template) you want to keep and which you don’t. Simply click on the Canvas and if you want to leave it off, make it invisible on both mobile and desktop but uncheck the boxes as shown below. You’re welcome.
2. Drag and drop.
Just like you can turn Canvases “on and off” you can also drag and drop those babies to any desired order that you please! Want your bio closer to the top of the page? Drag the Canvas up to your desired location from the left side panel and you’re good to go.
3. Think like a multi-passionate.
Multi-passionates are naturally gifted in seeing possibilities in areas that others may overlook. As a result, we often think outside the box. If you can practice thinking of your TONIC Site Shop Template in the same way, you’ll likely begin to see how that one-time investment can truly keep on giving!
As a multi-passionate, I don’t subscribe to the idea that there’s one way to do anything. I want to get the most out of the template design, not to “milk it,” but to express my creativity in multiple ways. I invite you to let your creativity run wild with all the ways you can make the template work for you.
Don’t forget to take advantage of a 15% discount on your template when you use code JOISENTME at checkout.
Cheers!
